"I love the character of old hotels and this one did not disappoint. Pros: we had hot water for showers, plenty of towels, a comfortable bed, two onsite restaurants to choose from, and two complimentary bottles of water in our room. We called for room service one night; they were friendly and fast. The food was excellent and the portion sizes were more than generous. I ordered the hummus and the tacos, both appetizers, and I had enough food to feed 4 people! My husband ordered the club sandwich...

"Water valve, not working. Could not balance between cold and hot. This was for the sink and shower. Not having access to lobby via stairs. Took over 20 minutes to get on elevator during the check out/ breakfast hours. I get this is only a two hour winder per day, but one should not have to wait that long. Same happened to others including one couple on floor 2. So close yet so far away to get to the lobby. "

She claimed because I booked through Expedia and NOT through IHG directly that my stay was NOT eligible. I have never had this happen before. "Its downtown chicago, so expect loud noises and lack of parking, but the Valet is convenient. This hotel makes of for the daily stressors of staying downtown for a few days."
