"This is our second time at this resort. Unfortunately, they lacked activities throughout our stay. New Year's entertainment ended at 9pm. I remember them having dance competitions during lunch and themed dinner parties with music. There is no mini bar in rooms and all food/drink service ends at 10pm. The room was super clean and comfortable with a great view. Unfortunately it lacked some amenities that I've recieved at other resorts that I would love for Solmar to offer."

"We stayed for 2 nights and would return if we had a reason to be in this area again. The breakfast selection was very good and rooms were quiet. Staff were excellent. Parking is secure underground and included in the rate. We did find the lighting in the rooms were much too dim , especially in the bathroom. The light above the shower did not work. We woukd suggest that at the pool area they divide the roof section into a smoking and non-smoking area. Because smokers in the hot tub or sitting...

"Great breakfast buffet, they are pet friendly and the place is clean and well kept, it always has been that way for the last 15 plus years. My only complaint is the only ice machine was on the 3rd floor and I don’t think it even worked very good. The 1st, 2nd and 4th floor ice machines were removed. I hope they can add at least one more ice machine, that’s important for people that have special food or medicine that needs to be kept cold."

"Great location except for the main road which makes it a bit difficult to access the hotel, if arriving by public transportation from San Jose. But great proximity to La Taquiza Restaurant which is has very tasty food. "

"Overall, the staff at Club Regina make sure to go above and beyond to ensure their guests feel welcome and comfortable. The beach on site is absolutely gorgeous and serene. I wouldn’t recommend swimming though as the waves in the area are pretty aggressive. Prices for the mini bar as well as the quality of food at the restaurant on site was the only downside for our experience. Their prices were simply not reasonable for the portion and quality of food provided. The only other downside was that...

"Didn’t like no jacuzzi Didn’t like the busyness of the street, unsafe to cross to food establishments. Cars speedy ridiculously fast. 6 lanes of roadway to cross to other side . Right in front of hotel wooden cross that someone DIED trying to cross the road presumably. No cross walks or safe path/bridge for pedestrians. "
