"One of the best of Brighton’s cheap and cheerful hotel stays. No frills but nicer than some of the others, plus the local area has good places to eat - and supermarkets for real budget dining. It’s not the Pellirocco but fine as a bed for the night. "

Colson House

3.5 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (181)
"This was a really nice room with everything I needed, although a desk or table to be able to sit at properly would have been ideal. Bed was comfy, shower was lovely and hot. My only problem was that my room was located to the front door so was woken up at all hours by latecomers slamming the door, leading to what sounded like a party in the room above me at 2-3 in the morning. I can only presume that if there had been a member of staff on site this would have not been allowed to have happened...

Amsterdam Hotel and A Bar

3.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (422)
"Hotel was nice, staff were very nice and great value for money for a cheap over night in Brighton. Location was great too, with beach across the rd and the pier almost opposite. My only issue was the shower had very, very weak water pressure dispite being on max and the temperature control was frozen so the water was about room temperature! I only discovered the shower issues in the morning when I got up so not able to complain until I was checking out 30 mins later. Reception were polite and...
