"The bathrooms are up an unlighted hill from the cabins. There is a shared kitchen with dishes. The freshwater swimming has a hazard of schistosomiasis. A parasitic infection. Apple Maps had trouble finding the location, but the owner helped us. The owner charged an extra $35 on our arrival. But, the location is good and the owner plans to install bathrooms."

Our otherwise excellent stay was disturbed by rude guests upstairs talking loudly, smoking outside our window and stomping around when we were trying to sleep. I would recommend this unit if you are looking for a nice, two bedroom place to stay in Hilo."

"Even though the property is a bit dated, the accommodations were nice, clean but a bit noisy. Loved being able to leave the screen doors open, loovered doors closed and listen to the rain all night. "

"Our family of six stayed overnight at this property when we traveled over from Mauna Lani to visit Volcano National Park. The house is even better than advertised and as well-equipped as many more expensive rentals (especially the kitchen) with super comfortable beds and pillows. As other reviewers have mentioned, the massage chair was great. Parking was a little tight (we had a large SUV) but manageable. Overall a fantastic stay."

"Everything was easy for check-in and super close to everything we wanted to explore, which was super important for us with little kids. There were only a couple little issues we had. One was that in the bedrooms it did get quite warm, the ac unit is in the living room area and it definitely pushes air out and keeps that area super cold. "The hosts were fantastic and always responded timely to all questions. They asked numerous times if we needed anything. A couple minor issues with a couple lights and their maintenance person came to fix within a day.We prepare most of our meals while at a VRBO. The kitchen was very limited on baking dishes, saucepans, glasses, cooking utensils. As with most VRBO’s, the knives were not sharp.We didn’t realize the VRBO was located by on a very busy street and intersection. A lot of traffic noise...

"Our upper level unit was very clean and well-stocked with everything we needed, including a few, nice extra touches. Beds were comfortable, but bedrooms were very small and hard to maneuver around; beds took up most of floor space.
