"Older property with slightly outdated facilities but spotlessly clean and in a great location close to some dining facilities and the park. We were on the second floor and although there was no A/C, fans and opening the windows made it light and airy. Quite spacious and nice to have a microwave and coffee maker in the room. Very good value for money."

"This place is absolutely charming. Waimea town is set in lush green cinder cones with cool tradewind breeze. So Hawaiian pastoral, the building is just one story like an old time motel. The room has mini kitchenette and comfortable beds. We enjoyed staying here. "

"Kurt and his wife were excellent hosts; they were very welcoming and knowledgeable about the island and things to do. We loved the daily farm-to-table style breakfast, the variety of fresh fruit was incredible! The room was well furnished and the view from the patio was simply breathtaking. We can definitely picture staying here again in the future!"

"My stay was excellent. This hotel is exactly what I was looking for with a stay in Hawaii. Peaceful, quiet, and fairly convenient. This place isn't gonna be for everyone, if you are looking for thrills and to be treated like royalty or have a family this probably won't be the place for you. But for me this place was perfect because I don't need all that. The issues with this place are minor and don't warrant super negative criticism, but parking can be an issue, it's a very small parking lot....

"No. 5 is a great stand alone cabin. Josh, the caretaker, was able to bring us extra pillows. It fit our needs. I would recommend a better, firmer mattress. It was very hot in the cabin when we first got there. I would recommend getting the A/C on at least two hours before check in time. An exhaust fan in the bathroom would also help."
