"Convenient base from which to explore the various ski resorts of Shiga Kogen. Sun Valley is one of the first areas you approach from Nagano, so arrival by bus from Nagano station was quick and easy (a 3+- min walk from the stop on the highway.). Sun Valley's chairlift is right outside the front door, from there we were able to piece together the chair/gondola lifts to make it to all the other resorts too (1.75 hrs skiing & lifts to Okushiga Kogen.) "HA-MON was excellent, fantastic friendly staff and owner. Only minor issue we had was that we did not realise we had booked a room without a private bathroom. Most rooms do not have private bathrooms, however, this was our fault for not reviewing the room details properly before booking. Other than that we were very happy with our stay. Thank you! ☺️"

"The positives: The staff were very nice, the shuttle drivers were great and the cabin was clean. It was peaceful and quiet. However, if we had known that the cabin was 2 km away from the hotel, we probably would not have stayed. I booked it because of its proximity to echo land. However, the cabins were located 2 km outside of town, and although there was a shuttle it would’ve been super helpful to have a car. in addition, the cabin was very cold.
