"The hotel is fantastically located just a short walk from Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden Palace and the rest of central Beijing. Our room was tiny, but that's the price to be paid for a boutique room in a traditional hutong building and you can't argue with the price for this location. The staff were helpful, the room was clean and had everything we needed and breakfast was fine. The courtyard is beautiful and peaceful away from the noise of Beijing."

"While the rooms were very clean, the hallways needed to be updated and cleaned. The carpet was badly in need of being vacuumed but as I noted, the individual rooms were very clean and spotless. I loved the king size bed but like all other mattresses I have encountered in China, it's like sleeping on plywood. "A perfect little gem of a hotel right in the centre of the hutongs. Very clean and welcoming with superb service from their staff (who speak English).
