"Most positive aspect of the hotel was the staff who were outstanding in every area of the hotel including reception, bar and restaurant. The rooms were a bit dated but in good condition, mattress was not the best. Food quality was good and both food and drink decent value. The location is really nice with a lake at the front and a canal to the back. Overall very pleased and would certainly stay again."

"The hotel is full of character, the room was spacious and the food was great. What made our stay even better were the staff who were friendly, professional and helpful. A special shout out to Kitty on reception for going the extra mile with checkins. "

"Brilliant hotel with amazing staff. The hotel is dog friendly and We were made to feel extremely welcome - extra fuss was showered on our 4legged companion. This is our 2nd stay here and will definitely stay again "

"Clean and comfortable, nicely furnished. Bed was comfortable. Great breakfast, staff were friendly and helpful. Only downside was a bit of dirt on the chair in the room and shower water was intermittent."

Excellent value for money

"Perfect central location when arriving by train to spend evening and catch early hours Uber to airport. Friendly reception. Spacious, comfortable room with huge windows and open view. Super comfortable bed. Bang in the middle of a buzzing backdrop of restaurants. Would recommend and will return when needing a nightcap to catch a flight or connection. Works going on but they didn't impact us. A very old but comfortable feel, vibe. "
