"We stayed as a stopover on our journey to the north west at Christmas time and it was the perfect little stopover. The village was super cute with loads of Christmas lights and I think we counted 4 pubs in the village! The hotel itself is cute and quite small but lovely staff and service and we had a steak in the restaurant which was superb. Overall very pleased and great value for money."

"My stay was roughly what I was expecting. The rooms are a bit 'tired' but okay for the money. Biggest concern I had was that the hot water was far too hot, scalding hot in fact, manageable in the shower with the mixer tap but the basin had single taps so the temperature of the water was dangerous. Also the tap had a left handed action, which is bizarre."
