"The hotel was nice and the room clean and the bed very comfortable. Only issue was that someone was moving furniture in the room above until 11 pm and it was very distracting/annoying. Emma on the front desk was a jewel and very concerned that all was well with our room. Another issue in the room is that there is a step to the bathroom so all was compressed in there."

"We loved this hotel. It’s right on the Riverwalk and so we grabbed Lime Scooters and rode all around the park and explored. passed a lot of dinner locations, stopped at Tide King and had an incredible dinner. Came back to the hotel where they have a little store with snacks, ice cream etc. Brought those to our room. Our room had a full kitchenette too! There is no ice on this floor, and if you cannot sleep in quiet bring a fan because the AC fan isn’t loud at all. Great property. we would stay...

"The Grand Stark isn't for everyone. First, you need to factor in that because of its location, there are many homeless people in the area. This is just the reality of a hotel in downtown Portland. Second, this is not a shiny, ultra-modern hotel. The real wood floors are uneven and a bit creaky, the bed is oddly close to the ground, and the sink is oddly located.
