"We had a great time at Basecamp! We love the adventure motel vibe, there is a warm & welcoming common area with a fire & coffee, tea & hot chocolate. Great location, very walkable to the restaurants, shops & cafe in Tahoe City. There's a little slice of Lake Tahoe from the parking lot (the weather was storming so not sure about the view from the top deck). Beds were comfy & rooms were cozy, it's a refurbished motel that's cozy and cute decor. We love these types of adventure motels with common areas so we'll be back! "

"Great little place. Had everything I needed, and was clean! Would definitely stay again. My only two issues: stove wasn’t working so they provided a small hot plate, which was fine. And I went to the front desk at 5PM, but they were closed already (said hours were until 5:30PM). Overall would definitely recommend. "

"We never stay anywhere else. Yes it's pricey,but oh so wonderful. Even with construction going on, it's peaceful and comfortable. When the pool is quiet, take a heavenly swim. Breakfast is fantastic!!"

"The management at the hotel is wonderful and highly accommodating to guest. He helped us arrange transportation to a concert and really went the extra mile with customer service. The hotel is humble but clean and the bed was super comfortable after a night of dancing. It’s super convenient to kings beach and the crystal bay club if you’re going to a concert. "
