"Loved my stay: Devonport is a great base for exploring Auckland, and the run along the coast to a Cheltenham beach around the headland is fantastic. My room was comfortable but I would have appreciated a desk where I could sit and work. "

"Great access to the Botanical Gardens. A good loop walking tour is to walk along to the cable car. Take it up to the top and then explore the museum, and various trails and gardens back down to the Hotel through the old cemetery. "
