"I loved the Royal Scots Club!!! It is old and elegant but complete with every convenience and updated amenities. The food was excellent and I enjoyed both dinner and breakfast there. I will definitely return on my next trip to Edinburgh and I recommend it to all. "

The spa was lovely, though a bit small, so it can get busy quickly. We visited early in the mornings and late at night when it was quieter. "Great property, great location. Great staff. Beautiful high ceilings. Very accommodating. The only criticism I have is that the people working the spa seemed clueless and uptight. The guy I was talking to about treatments appeared like he had never had a massage in his life. And as I was trying to get more information about treatments and providers everyone seemed to get more nervous and uptight. Very strange. Other than that had a great hotel experience."

"The location was fabulous - only a few steps away from Edinburgh Waverley train station. Very convenient. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was ready when we arrived a couple of hours early which was great and they were able to hold our suitcases for a couple of hours after we checked out - again very convenient. I would definitely stay there again. "

"The location is excellent; you can walk anywhere in the city in under 15 minutes. I stayed in the Junior Double room, which was very comfortable and cozy, as well as clean. It had a small window overlooking an interior patio, but that didn’t bother me given the purpose of my stay. The bathroom with a bathtub was also clean. Bed really comfortable too. One thing I didn’t quite understand was why there were several holes around the room, which I ended up covering with paper since, traveling alone, it was a bit unsettling. Overall, I have a very positive impression of this hotel and would definitely stay here again!"

"The perfect location between Old Town and New Town. It was a quant hotel with easy access to transportation - the bus from the airport dropped us off just on the bridge across from the hotel. It's a bit of an odd layout and it was a bit of a maze to find the room. But it was comfortable and we'd stay there again!"
