Old Waverley Hotel

3.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very Good, (1157)
"The hotel location was great! Easy walking to everything touristy. However The hotel is only accessible with stairs—there is an elevator from check in to the room floors, but from ground floor to check in there is only stairs. The room itself was a bit tired but overall comfortable enough for a weekend trip. The only real downside was the shower which had very inconsistent temperature. Can recommend the breakfast bar though, tasty and great view of the Scot monument. "

3.0 star property
9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (1132)
"My son and I stayed for 2 nights in March. The hotel is in a fantastic location for exploring Edinburgh but just a little way from the hustle. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. The hotel also has lots of interesting aspects because of its military Club association. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Excellent value for money. "

Edinburgh Castle Apartments and Suites

4.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (396)
"Outstanding room, immaculately clean. Had everything and more we needed and the location could not have been better. The bed was extremely comfy and generously sized. I really enjoyed the shower and bathroom too. Exceeded expectations and remarkable value for money. It is not the fault of the apartment but I would say it might be worth recommending guests bring earplugs as the air conditioning units in surrounding businesses are very loud. It did keep me from sleeping."
