"I was initially put off booking this hotel due to some of the reviews on it but needed affordable accommodation near the West End so just went for it. I'm glad I did. I found it a lovely, welcoming and warm hotel. I especially liked the lounge through from the reception. Cosy fire and chairs. Well decorated. "All good for me, room was comfortable and a good location for getting the tram in/out of Edinburgh. Not sure if the thermostat was stuck at 22degrees in the room as it didn't seem to let me change it, but didn't adversely affect my stay."

"The room is small so if there's 2 people with 2 big luggages, floor space would be limited. However it's very clean and quiet. Staff was super friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast has a nice selection of bread, oatmeal, fruits, and beverage. The location was very convenient cause it's close to alot of the main attractions. Overall would definitely stay here again."
