"This was our second time at Haven! It was lovely as usual. Our serenity guide Miguel was wonderful and the staff is great. Especially Sharkboy, Angel, Abel, and Geronimo. The ONLY downside was Vora Mar is not good at all. But we'll be back!"

"This is a typical American, chain-style, large hotel with a relatively good price point. We used this hotel as a stop-over from Isla Mujeres the day before our flight. They offer free airport shuttle every 1/2hour, complimentary breakfast, and a nice pool area with hot tub too (it was too hot for my Canadian a$$, but others liked it), and other amenities. Clean and organized with professional staff. My only gripe is the dinner options at the hotel restaurant. BUT i will temper this in that its a hotel restaurant, we werent there for a dinner experience, we were there as a stop-over for our flight out. Fir us it was a great option, a relaxing way to get get to the airport from afar without rushing."

"The overall experience was great! The staff in every department is friendly and very kind and helpful. The onsite restaurants need more choices on the menu, the food at most restaurants were awful too oily and greasy. We preferred buffet and sports bar. Travelled as family with two small kids for 5 days and we all got sick for two days due to foods. On the other note, great property, staff was amazing the housekeeping services done within minutes without asking and beyond. "

"This had its share of missing ‘things’ (no milk or cream for coffee, cool shower, communication issues as we both massacred each others’ language!), but that is to be expected in many countries that aren’t Canada. Overall, I booked it because it was what I was looking for: near the airport, not a resort, small but with a pool, cure bar and decor, food (tho’ too much meat for a vegetarian- good thing I love rice & beans!). Reception/wait staff were kind and helpful. Room was great. Comfy bed! Since I got ripped off that the airport to get to the hotel, it was a much-needed bonus to have them give me a ride back. Gracias! "

"Excellent extended stay property. Marriott being reliable brand. Con: - No restaurant. Only snack bar to purchase snacks. - No transport support to or from airport by hotel (not even paid). - Front desk was rude and not helping. - I booked via Expedia and that was the reason I believe. - I paid extra for ocean view king bed apt and on check-in they said they dont have it available and lied about giving me an upgrade to 2 queen bed apt, which actually cost low. On confrontation, agreed and said no ocean view apt is there so only 1 apt on 1st level was available. No refund or compensation as I booked via Expedia. Finally after argument, suddenly they found 1 apt available and assigned me that. After entering I found its not ocean view but the parking view. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. The price diff was $6 per night so left argument and continued to enjoy my vacation. Lesson learnt: if Marriott, book via its own app or site else they will not entertain you. - Giving 5 star still for the property and cleaning and other staff. Pros: - excellent property in budget. - best for family, especially with kids as each room is a studio with fully equipped kitchen. - all rooms have smart tv with internet for youtube. - highly recommended. Tips - use Uber, didi or InDrive apps for taxi. Cheap and easy means of transportation from hotel. - pre book Uber for airport transfer for peace of mind."
