"This hotel is a gem. Unable to stay at The Montcalm nearby, as it is being refurbished, this was a great find. You get a warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are well designed, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with lots of surfaces to store things on - towels and robes are clean, fluffy and (unusually) don't smell of breakfast. A fridge is filled with complimentary soft drinks, some of which are nicely quirky (I had a sugar-free yuzu drink) but the snacks are £3 each....

"Lots of staff at the hotel, all at the ready to assist you. Liked that in this day and age, where you don't always get great servicing of your room at some hotels that was not the case here as they cleaned everyday, changed towels everyday, and provided turn down service everyday. My only complaint was the outdoor terrace off the lounge allowed for smoke to permeate through the lounge and down to the lobby at times."

"Not sure it was worth the price. Nice place a little wear and tear starting to show… bathroom above us began leaking and at 1am we hand to change our Linnens on the bed as it was leaking all day so when we were ready for bed found it all wet… great location! Nice staff!"
