I did not like the staff worker (an older man) who for no good reason asked to see my room keys as if I ‘DIDN’T’ belong there. His reasoning, (which I do understand is a proper protocol but he absolutely abused this protocol) was that he needs to make sure that everyone in the hotel is a guest.
I am from America, and land of the brave and the home of the free where we do not need to constantly ‘prove’ ourselves in any given moment. As a hotel guest, I’ve already paid for my room and I should be able to room around the hotel and look at their maps, points of interests, and their hotel lobby without this attitude from this hotel staff.
Yes I understand that there is a ‘safety’ concern but the hotel needs to come up with a different solution. A solution that does not take the freedom, peace, and tranquility from their guests. I’ve already paid to stay their and I do not want to have to ‘prove’ that I am a guest their out of whim just whenever a staff worker (this older man) ‘decides’ to ask for my room key. This protocol is a way to discriminate and I DO NOT LIKE THIS.
