"This is a small all inclusive resort in the cove surrounded by mountains. There is nightly music in the lobby but otherwise not a lot of entertainment. 10 minute drive to downtown. Food was ok. Pool was warm/heated. Worth it to upgrade for access to adult pool. Saw a whale and dolphins during walk on beach. Cleaning staff did walk in room after knocking even though yelled ‘don’t come in I’m in the shower’. Happened 3 times. We would go back. "

"Great location about 1.5 miles or a $6 cab ride to the malecon. Close to the airport 15 mins if there’s some traffic. The Versailles neighborhood is right up the street with a lot of options for food if you do not want to do AI everyday. Rooms were clean a bit noisy at night from the entertainment at dreams or secrets depending on the night but everything wrapped up by 11. "I liked the staff and activities. I stayed in VIP we did not receive any extra benefits. Did not know what benefits were available. No information! We had 3 other rooms with family members on the upper floors they seemed to have more. We had no orientation when we checked in had no idea what VIP service was. We came for family vacation but the Italian restaurant is adult only. All children love Italian! Secrets is the adult only why does Dreams have to have an adult only!!!! Send adults over to...

"We had an amazing time at Canto Del Sol. The staff was helpful and friendly, the daily and nightly entertainment was fun and engaging, beautiful grounds and the pools were clean. The buffet was good with a nice assortment of foods. The a la carte restaurants were top notch food and service. Book those early in your stay as we didn't get to try one of them that we wanted.
