"Big island retreat is located in a super quiet and beautiful area near the shore. Our guest room (orchid) was clean and spacious with a partial sea view, and our check in was very convenient. Two minor downsides: 1) there was no shampoo and bodywash in the room, but the onwer immediately brought a shampoo as we messaged her. 2) Utensils in the dining area were not very clean and there was still tea stains on the cups. "The Orchid is absolutely beautiful! The grounds are immaculate and pool is the perfect size with a separate section for adults. The food options are good. We especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet that had about every option you could imagine. The beach is ideal for kids with no breaking waves, a sandy beach, and safe clear waters for snorkeling! It's just a short walk to a nice grocery store, shops, and more dining options. Our trip was just about perfect!"

"The resort was not full because of the construction. It will be beautiful when completed. We enjoyed the ability to get a chair at the beach and pool. The construction didn’t bother us. We enjoyed our stay there very much. "

"I stayed here with my two kids for 4 nights and it was wonderful. Property was clean. We enjoyed having a full kitchen and washer and dryer in unit. Finding something to eat was a short drive. We also ate at their restaurant once and food was good. Their pool was nice to enjoy every evening. Their live music made enjoying the pool that much better. Beaches that we went to were about a 30-40 minute drive but it was well worth it and we’d stay here again if given the chance. "
