"It is truly very clean. I love the personal pajamas laid out on our bed every evening. I accidentally scratched my finger and they immediately took out their first aid kit. So helpful with directions and recommendations. The only thing is - the rooms are tiny and we booked a room for 3..and with 3 beds in one room- there was no space for all our suitcases. The food was good - but it was the same thing ever single day for the 7 days we were there...Overall, I would still recommend this place. "

"Very clean accommodations. Small, cozy room with basic amenities. I like that there is one or two staff members always at the front desk, no matter what time it is. The key card is keyed only to your floor for extra security. Location is excellent to the Sensoji temple within a short walking distance and amazing food vendors during the new years week. "You can tell the hotel was quite old but the condition wasn't too shaby given the age. It's clean as you'd expect from most Japanese hotels and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I booked two rooms for six nights and the room for my parents had a blocked drain when we checked in, the staff was able to offer another room straightaway before they can attend to the drain issue. Ryogoku isn't a very popular area with tourists but the hotel is right next to the train station and only two stops...
