"This property is absolutely beautiful, be sure to take the time to enjoy the history of it and enjoy all of the amenities. The service here was amazing. We were so thankful to receive a room upgrade to an ocean view. The room was incredible. We enjoyed taking advantage of a class at the fitness center. All of the outdoor areas were stunning,many dining options and many close by as well. We never had trouble finding a chair at the pool, an attendant brings you a chair towel and a beach towel. "The Royal Sonesta was very clean, well kept and had friendly staff, especially at the front desk. The pool area is nice and there is lounge and umbrella service on the beach, which we enjoyed more than the pool area. The dining options are good, even delivery to the beach. The outdoor bar by the lobby is very enjoyable with the fire pit. The El San Juan Hotel is right next door and there are many options there for eating and dancing otherwise we did not walk anywhere else except a few blocks to the drugstore (great place to get own supply of beer and alcohol). The big surprise for us was how very expensive Ubers were. Our ride from the airport on a Monday at 11am was $40 because of a $24 surcharge for busy time. A ride to Old San Juan, one way, over $25. Apparently taxis aren’t much cheaper. "
