"This hotel is a real piece of history and is decorated and furnished accordingly, so don't expect king sized modern beds and air conditioning. However, if , like me, you appreciate people taking the effort to give you an unforgettable experience of how things used to be, this is the place. The town itself is a lovely reminder of what the Gold Country was like in the late 1800s with lots of old buildings along a main street. "Stayed in ADA room, however the roll-in shower needed a grab bar on the outside. I did not feel safe exiting shower. We appreciated the fact that we could access our room from the outside, but there were 2 very dangerous steps and ramp access was to far away. It was extremely painful getting up the steps, but it was still preferable to the long painful walk."
