"We stayed here in the Tudor 4 poster room. While some of the reviews mentioned noise in some of the suites, we only heard guests downstairs when we were in the bathroom and then only in the afternoon. It was quiet in the evening / night. It was a great place to stay after a 5,000 mile trip from the Western US and recover from jet lag before going on to meet friends and family elsewhere in the UK. (It’s about a hour from Heathrow). "This hotel is closed we were rebooked at the Europa Gatwick hotel a sister hotel connected with the Britannia Hotel chain. On the out side it looked ok check in was fine and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The twin room i booked was pretty spartan, lacking in pillows, one per guest, the beds were absolutely atrocious one could feel the springs thru the mattress and the bed creaked something chronic, there was also a very strange nude picture of a women on the wall over the bed...
