"Los Lagos Hotel is beautiful, clean, and perfect for our family. They have pools everywhere, and we mostly hung out in the large hot spring pool with a swim-up bar and drank the virgin pina coladas that they serve in real pineapples! The staff is very friendly and helpful, including the restaurant staff, the cleaning crew, and the front desk. The breakfast is a buffet full of healthy, delicious variety. The gift shop is great. We were in downpour for 2 days, and ended up just hanging out in the warm pools. One night when my daughter and husband decided to stay in the room for the evening, I spent an hour in the original hot spring on a built-in lounge chair with jets. "

"Beautiful stay, only had one room left reserved through Expedia so I had to book through them or else I wouldn’t have. Expedia is really bad in Costa Rica. They also charged me like $40 more to book through them."

The building is grand and built with great beauty but the place has seen a lot of use - the fixtures in the bathroom sinks are warn and tarnished, the door to the room was in need of being stripped and re-varnished. Still the place looks beautiful - but it does not look new. The place was clean and welcoming. "

"I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for one night after a flight from the USA. The staff was very helpful with questions asked about transportation and exchanged some larger colones into smaller bills for me. The breakfast buffet was very good although pricier than I realized. Room was clean and comfortable."
