"The hotel is a decent hotel. Not the best but definitely not the worst. The food was lacking, but that’s what we found in all of San Pedro. The live bands that play late into the night could go away. It’s very hard to relax and sleep when the music is so freaking loud. "

"Shaka Caye is a MUST for people who enjoy the tranquility of a tropical island, but have the option for ADVENTURE. Not only is there much to do on the island (kayaking, sand volleyball, paddle boarding, local sea life, a near-by caye you can explore all on your own-) you can charter a boat to enjoy Caye Caulker, snorkeling and cave tubing. My partner and I aimed to do charter a boat for an inland-adventure, but ultimately were so enchanted by what the island had to offer we just stayed put :)...
