"Beck's Bed & Breakfast is a sweet jewel of a place in a remote region of the Crooked Tree Wildlife Refuge (a birder's paradise). Robert and Becky are warm, incredibly knowledgable hosts and provide a respite from the hustle and bustle of vacation stress and more tourist dense areas. If you love birds and plants and two sweet dogs you will love staying here. They had Christmas decorations galore so we didn't miss out on the Christmas spirit. We wish we could have stayed longer. "I had a great 9 night stay at the cabanas. Athena and Tristin were amazing hosts!!! The location is perfect, breakfast was delicious, and the property is well taken care of. Athena gave thoughtful recommendations and taught me a lot about Belizean culture. I truly left feeling like family. "I've never written a negative review about a property but I rely heavily on reviews so thought I'd share my experience. I'll start off by saying the owner is friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, this was more a place to stay if you're looking for a very basic stay where you want to rough it. The room is super hot, the bed is uncomfortable and when walking back at night there isn't proper lighting. I don't recommend it to female solo travellers. I did not feel safe. "This property is lovely, room is clean, hot water is great, no a/c which I knew, very strong fan plus ceiling fan kept me cool. The fan is loud, doesn’t keep me from sleeping tho. A beautiful place to stay and I would come back again."
