"I loved the ocean view and the balcony. There are many seals across the street and plenty of shops within walking distance. Some people might complain about the noise of the seals, but if your window is closed you can’t hear them. I kept the balcony door open just a little and I could only hear a seal once in a while at night. Waking up to that ocean view was just beautiful. I had planned to leave the following day, but I had gone to La Jolla for a medical procedure and I didn’t feel well that night, so I had my husband ask at the front desk, if we could stay another night for the same price. I don’t know if this was an exception for me, since I was still recovering. Either way, I was very grateful and they were very nice about it. I will definitely go back again. I’d also add that I stayed in one of the remodels, not the older buildings. Thank you La Jolla Cove, for making my trip less stressful. "

"My wife and I stayed at the Rambler for a long weekend away. We went to SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo and the Old Town Trolley Tour. The Rambler’s location was perfect! About 15 minutes from downtown San Diego meant we were not going to be disrupted by a lot of noise (like planes landing and taking off) but still close enough that a quick drive got us to everything. Our room was great! Very clean and it seemed like it was newly renovated. The bed was VERY comfortable and the shower had better water pressure than our shower back home. We ate at the cafe a few times and it was delicious! Parking was the only thing that was a little tight but there’s not much that can be done about that. Plus, it was free! Big plus if you’ve ever stayed in San Diego. We will definitely be back!"

"We got upgraded to a suite and it was incredible. This is an older hotel, but it's clean and gorgeous. And the valet is pricey but they take such good care of you! We got back after the valet were gone for the night from seeing a play, and all we had to do was drop the keys at the front desk and go to bed. The car was parked for us, the attendants were helpful, and everything was amazing. We will stay there again for sure if we ever get the chance."
