"Beautiful resort. Very relaxing and inviting. Would recommend it. BUT I was disappointed with the service on the platinum beach area. Servers stood at the bar almost all day and talked. They rarely brought drinks. I got three drinks myself for my wife and I while they watched as I walked up and brought them back myself over the period of an hour and a half. "Entire property was extremely well maintained, all staff were nice and helpful. Being able to visit other hotels within the Barcelo family is nice and offered the kids the ability to try different pools. Would highly recommend this property for any families. Only caveat, in the property description they don't mention the water park/surfing area is an extra charge, along with the bowling and some other activies. "Love the property! it's well maintained and beautiful grounds. Pool closing hours should be longer then 6PM. If you want a beach vacation, then this is not the place. Too many rocks and mountain of seaweed. I was looking for a relaxing snorkeling dive, but I couldn't even get my feet in the water. "I loved everything about this hotel and the food was so good specially the Mexican food. We had the VIP pass so we could go to all the resorts and eat at any restaurants. Our favorite was Akumal because the have a beautiful beach Caleta where you can see a lot of fish swimming right under you. My kids loved the kids club too and the shows for them were amazing and they got to be part of the performance and wear beautiful costumes. Will definitely be back!"

"Reef 28 resort is located close to many amenities: the beach, Quinta Avenida, bars and restaurants shops etc. the staff is friendly everybody cares about guest. Great ambiance - The roof top is one of a kind - the food and drinks is all 5 stars quality. A gem in playa and the Mexican Riviera. "

"Shower could have been cleaner. Food overcooked at chefs table. There was a wedding right in the middle of the lawn so people were walking all around it and it was the same time as a busy themed night in the lobby. "

"This is a cute smaller all-inclusive property than what we are used to. We stayed for 4 nights. It was clean, decent food and drink options. Buffet was a bit small but had everything we normally eat. Excellent service with a smile. Spa options were a good value. We would stay here again. 5th Avenue was walking distance, we went from 6-9:30pm and felt very safe. It has several places to shop and eat. Great location. "

"Just spent a week at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort. The resort itself was excellent from the staff, the rooms, the activities, and the food selection. The beach is not the best that’s for sure but that is something out of the resorts control. Highly recommend the a la carte restaurants. This resort does not deserve the negative reviews it receives. "

"It was a truly wonderful experience! I loved the peaceful atmosphere and the stunning views. The staff was amazing, with Raul leaving a special impression on our hearts—he really went above and beyond. The facilities, including the gym and meditation spaces, were excellent. I also appreciated the beach shuttle to nearby beach clubs. Niki at the front desk was incredibly helpful in arranging transportation. Overall, a fantastic stay that I highly recommend!"

Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya All-Inclusive Resort

"I took my bachelorette trip here in April 2025. The resort is lovely and overall so gorgeous. Our rooms were very clean and the beds were comfy. I’ve never stayed somewhere with nicer staff, they really made the trip special. Oscar at the lobby bar makes the best espresso martinis and margaritas. He was also so fun and attentive. Betuel and Isaías the bellhops gave us a special tour around the resort to show us everything so we wouldn’t have to walk. The food was pretty good, we especially loved the Italian restaurant La Luce, the prosciutto pizza was incredible. The ribeye tacos at SeaSalt were also great! The staff never forgot to ask us about food allergies and really remembered who was allergic to what. They also had quite a few vegan options at every eatery. Vela sur was a great way to start our day with Oceanside breakfast. Overall, the resort experience was lovely, we really enjoyed it all, from the rooms to the pools, but what made this trip special were the resort employees. There are too many to name, thank you to all the employees for making this an unforgettable trip!"
