"Stayed here for three nights. Excellent, helpful, polite and enthusiastic staff. Great value and great location for exploring the bike trails at own pace. I receieved lots of help over email prior to arrival to help plan the logistics of my trip. If I were to return to Shinamani Kaido, I would definitely consider staying here again. "

"This was our second stay at the Marion. It's like spending the night at the museum. You can read the history of the original owner if you spend a few minutes at the waterfront Chinese Heritage Museum. The hotel is very close to bars and restaurants on Carpenter St. that can be noisy on occasion. We have stayed in the Chapel wing both stays and we're not bothered by street noise. "I chose this hotel for its location next to a ski resort and I liked the look of the tatami rooms. This hotel is very cheap and you get what you pay for. The room was small and old, the futon mattresses you use to make your bed were thin and I woke up achy every day. The staff were helpful and friendly with limited English. We tried a meal at the hotel and were asked to pay in advance and then given no menu - we just got what was given (which wasn’t bad actually). Theu have their own rental for...

"I loved this unique hotel, it was a tick off the bucket to stay in the rainforest! The staff are so friendly and the food is excellent and great value for money. It is very easy to get to the animal centres and I was still able to access the internet so could order grab taxis. I’d definitely recommend bringing bug spray! 100% would recommend, where else can you stay in the rainforest?!"

"What an exceptional setting. The beauty of the surroundings certainly made our stay. Loved the outdoor bathroom set into the cliff face. Staff efficient, friendly and met all our needs. Breakfast was enormous and so much variety. Recommend staying here."

"This is a very nice camping ground location. The name is actually called Workshop camp resort. The google maps address is wrong, continue up the road past 2 other properties. The palace cabins are basic, good size. The hot water did not work in our cabin. Pretty location in the forest."

"The people managing the place were superb. They were polite, knowledgeable & customer focused. Also not at all hungry for tips. The tent quality was superb and food ok. Improvements required: small fire extinguishers in everybody tent and eco-friendly non plastic food plates, cups etc."
