"This is a no-frills hotel, it’s so close to the highway. It is a little bit loud, but the convenience of being close to the harbor for whale watching tours and also close proximity to Monterey is for the money, a good deal. They’re a little stingy with their towels."

"The front desk staff were amazing at checking me in. The hotel room had in a small household refrigerator and a coffee pot. There was a nice little dinette. Everything was clean and welcoming. It is very walkable across the bridge to restaurants and shopping."

"We love the Monarch Cove inn and have stayed here when we visit Santa Cruz for several years. We were sad to learn Summer had left her position at the Monarch Cove inn. She will be missed. Her replacement Katrina was very welcoming and provided us with great customer service upon our arrival."
