"Stayed at this specific Max Brown Hotel a few times now and can say that the atmosphere , location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast - the check-in, all excellent. I stayed 4 nights this time and loved it. Due to the style of the property (beautiful Heritage building with lots of steep stairs) good to remember when packing to either book a ground floor , pack light or ask for help with bags. "Lovely helpful staff in a great location. Room was spacious and beds comfortable. The basement room and whole hotel is in need of refurbishment, it’s tired and dated. My bed next to the window was drafty and the area where the mirror is has no lighting. But otherwise a good place to stay."
