"Mere Brook is a lovely place to stay. The house and grounds are beautiful and the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was self service but everything was fresh and well stocked. We travelled in for a football match and very easy to get into Liverpool. Probably better than going in via the M62. Will definitely book again and highly recommended."

"Excellent property for family of 6 adults and two children. Could do with a safety gate to keep little ones safe on the stairs but excellent place to stay. A little noisy in first floor bedroom as the window catch was broken so the window did not shut properly but did not dampen our stay "

Bandstand, Derby Park Derby Park was opened in 1895 on land given to the people of Bootle by Lord Derby, a typical example of an urban Victorian park with formal gardens, bandstand and lake (now children's play area). Recently renovated, this attractive little park is largely unknown other than by local residents.
