"This hotel is really nice, and convenient and walkable to stores and restaurants. The staff is very nice. Very nice. The included breakfast was the same every morning, and wished they switched it up a few, but we ended up walking to another breakfast spot not to far away. Lastly, I thought the hotel was a bit pricey, but that was my opinion. Other than that, I loved the place!"

"Greatest stay I’ve have ever had in any hotel. All around people in Colombia so friendly.The entire staff was great from start to finish. Rafael the pool attendant, helpful, friendly, and respectful. The wait staff Sergio was awesome! Security at the front of the hotel also great. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Very affordable. Lots of stores and restaurants nearby felt safe, we did lots of walking. 3 ladies traveling alone and that meant alot. I recommend anyone staying in Cartagena stay at the intercontinental! 5 stars all the way! Can’t wait to come back, sad to be leaving. "

"Holiday express is a great brand. Everything you need was close at hand. Staff was very polite and helpful. I hit the restaurant downstairs and upstairs same menu everywhere even for room service. The food was not that great though."

"The hotel was very run down. But it was safe and peaceful. Away from the nasty street vendors that attacked me, tried to trick me and are always changing the price. The food was very disappointing, the hotel tries to sell American food and its very bad. They should concentrate on improving the food. Also when you order food expect to wait more than an hour! Finally, my suggestion is that they also add some music to the property, maybe some outdoor speakers for a tropical atmosphere."
