"Great hotel friendly staff. A little gem "

"We stayed in a suite which was nice and quirky. It was clean and comfortable. We even had a record player and some LPs! The shower room was a bit basic and although it had lights on mirror etc they didn’t work. There were no keys available for the room so the receptionist had to keep running up to 3rd floor to let us in. The bar area and reception were nice. "The hotel is well located close to the railway station, The Empire Theatre and the other main attractions. We received a very warm welcome at reception and the room was warm, clean and well presented. We had a drink in the EBar which was quiet but the drinks were good and reasonably priced. We didn't have dinner there but we went down to breakfast which was buffet style and very good. The hot buffet was great and there was plenty of cereals etc. We will definitely be back."

"The hotel was situated so that we only had a short stroll before reaching the beautiful town centre. So for location it was excellent, however, for myself personally, the hotel was far too noisy. We had to ask to move rooms as our first room was located on the front, which was next to an extremely busy, noisy road. We were then moved to the back, which was slightly better but still was lots of noise, trains going by, workmen making loud noise, a dull humming noise. I didn’t really get much sleep...
