"I've never cried when I left a hotel because the stay was so wonderful. Why do people love Japan, specifically Hokkaido, and Moiwa most of all? Because of the people. "Hide (owner) is such a kind and compassionate person. On arrival he gave us fruit and there were many snacks provided in the rooms. Many of the other days he would give us more fruit and then a lovely gift when we left. Every day he was so helpful in removing all the snow from our vehicle before we left for the ski fields. Hide is what makes this hotel such a pleasant place to stay. Thanks Hide, we loved staying with you!"

"Close to Niseko for minimal price. Small rooms, don't travel with to much luggage. Parking few blocks away... but we ajust. Easy, it really feels like an apartment and not a hotel. Close to restaurant and train station."

"Loved staying at Milky house, would definitely stay again. It's a 10-minute walk to the Annupuri Gondola, had a cute little bar on-site for great apres drinks and a food cart that was there each evening. In addition the dinners and breakfast served at Milky were amazing! The staff were so kind and accommodating. "

The entire experience was seamless despite having no on-site staff, and I was impressed by both the cleanliness of my room and the functionality of the shared kitchen. "The owner is amazing and went out of his way to help me find a lost necklace. Thank you Dirk."

"A clean property with bunk bed rooms. Each bed has curtains for privacy and a lamp and electric outlet. The property is two floors. The bathrooms, showers, and some hot water heaters for tea, etc, are on the first floor. The guests were mostly under 30 from their looks. And there is a restaurant in the lodge where the included breakfast is served and dinner can be purchased. All the staff, except in the restaurant were native english speaking."

"The property was not what we were expecting. It was a five bedroom home. It was very clean and when we had trouble with our door knob to our room, he came over and fixed it right away. When the outside door would not lock, no one came and fixed it"

"We luckily were able to book Dharma Niseko as all other hotels were getting booked. It looked nice from the pictures, but wow was it even better in person. From start to end, our experience was absolutely amazing. The floors are heated throughout the entire unit, which was heaven to come home to after a long day on the mountain. "The Niseko Ski Lodge lives up to its name--a rustic ski lodge. The staff were super friendly, and international. Upstairs rooms mostly share a bath, but we had a room with a private bath. The pre-fab bathroom was tiny and weirdly placed with a ~10" step up. Room size was good, but it was stiflingly hot with the radiator heat. "Clean and cozy guesthouse. Breakfasts were delicious. Yamasan provided rides to local ski areas (and to medical appointments after my husband got injured); and both Yamasan and his wife were very helpful for organizing taxis and for shipping luggage. Arigato gozaimasu! "

"Communication with Banff was very good. Room was everything I could have expected, having our own bathroom and bath was a bonus. My only qualm is that the beds were a bit old and that the couch in the room just took up a lot of space when trying to sort out our massive ski bags… overall very happy with the stay!"

Must stay here if you’re in Toya.

"A really clean hostel that provided a clean set of towels and toothbrush set. There’s a curtain for each bed so I had privacy. Even if it’s full house, there was ample space for luggage. There’s a comfy lounge area with water dispenser for me to chill. Don’t forget to try the curry rice. It was exceptionally good and slightly different from the regular Japanese curry. Toya lake was just across the street and the famous Waseimo store was right in front of The Toya. Two combi stores nearby if you like to get snacks. "
