Typical large hotel catered to the tourist groups; clean and well maintained. However the buffet dinner and breakfast have very limited menu and the quality is below average…
Decently priced hotel for a night stay with dinner included.
However, the dinner buffet & breakfast standards seems to have detiorated post covid as the spread & food choices was a lot better previously
We had relax and comfortable 2 nights stay and really enjoyed the onsen. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style with nice seafood. The hotel is only 2 minutes walking from the Noboribetsu Onsen bus terminal which is handy especially when it is snowing.
I stairs at the Japanese style room. I have been japan many times and this is the most dirty bathroom I seen. Before I check out I used my old toothbrush and try to clean the sink. I am curious to see if the sting is removable or not. Sure enough those dirt came off. If you want a clean room from this hotel you need to spend the money. It seems like they only spent time and effort to maintain the most expensive rooms. My friends who traveles with me spend the money and stay in a room with private Osen and their room is clean. The price difference between our rooms were 3 times the amount. This hotel is showing its age. The public Osen is clean. I only have complain towards the cleanliness of the room. The meals are good.
All I can say is go to the public bath to take your bath and don't use the washroom if you stay in room at the lower price tier.

The unique point about the property is that the onsen has a wide offerings and of different temperature. This is the only reason that I booked this hotel again. However, the buffet food standard and variety has dropped drastically. The last time I went was in Oct 2019 and the crab legs in the cup had 3-4 variety. Now it has 1 variety. The quality of the food was better and the variety was better too. There was short of staff in the dining hall and for the morning breakfast buffet, almost every dining table was not cleared and we had to clear the plates and trays on our own. You can see that the number of staff is greatly outnumbered by the number of guest.
Restaurant for buffet dinner was crowded, food runs out with slow replenishment , too many tourist groups. Did not enjoy the dining vibe. Room was well maintained and clean though.
Very relaxing and enjoyable. Much higher standard than most of our trip - we are not usually the fancy hotel, hang out and relax types - but we really enjoyed our stay.
The room smelled of mildew and everything was old. There were a couple hairs on the floor and one in the bed. The bathroom had mold in it. The hotel itself is old with an oddly large parking/driving area out front that was often filled with buses and taxis which made entering very uncomfortable. When we returned to the hotel 30 minutes after checking out to ask for a taxi they acted like they had never seen us before and asked if we had stayed at the hotel before being willing to call us a taxi.
The town itself is amazing, especially Jugokudani, the hiking trails, and the bear park.
This was a wonderful visit and stay for my family! The onsen was fantastic and my kids really enjoyed the onsen water slide! I had never seen such a thing before! The dinner was incredible and included all you can eat crab legs. Breakfast was also delicious. Walking distance to hell valley. My only, and very minor, complaint is that the dinner buffet charged for soft drinks, which seemed a little kechi.
