"I’ve been to many capsules across Japan and my stay here was at the too. Yes, I’ve stayed in Kyoto, Osaka, but wanted to spend a few days in Ōtsu and experience a slower pace and so glad I did! The reviews on Google and Orbitz rated The Calendar high so I gave it a try and I was not disappointed. However, I do need to mention if you are sensitive to smell you might notice the slight scent of smoke. The entire capsule is non-smoking, however there is a smoking room, that when smokers return it...

"Really nice rooms. Even though on a busy street rooms were quite quiet. Not much at all in walking distance for dining. About a 20 minute walk to subway, have to climb stairs over an overpass en route. "

"I really like how quiet and clean the area, the room was very spacious, my only bad review is that it was somewhat hard to retrieve the key before checking in, it took a while but we were able to open it.
