"We enjoyed the location, views, and staff. There were 2 pool areas and 3 spots to eat. There was beach service for drinks and food, LOVELY! (!Gracias RAMON!) They have daily poker games, Bingo, and most days- water aerobics and beach volleyball. The beach bar was open until 1030pm, and rarely was busy that late. We were there during an unexpectedly cold snap, and never used the AC. Many travelers invested in new Mazatlan hoodies from the beach vendors. Transportation was easy. We used open air taxis and Uber to get around easily. Pueblo Bonito is on a nice strip of restaurants and shops if you leave the hotel by foot. Oddly, they do not have a minibar or even a FRIDGE in the rooms, which was a disappointment for an All-inclusive. They also give you a coffee maker in the room with NO coffee making products. ??? Different levels of service are identified by different color wrisbands- blue, orange, brown, and gold. We took advantage of a pool day at the sister property, Emerald Bay. We also went there 1 evening for dinner and drinks at Kelly's. THE STAFF AND SERVERS ARE AMAZING! GRACIAS!! We do recommend bringing a good supply of small bills for tipping, $1s and $5s. Prices on the beach: 12 oysters-150 pesos 15 shrimp- 150 pesos A sarong without sparkles- 180 pesos or 280 pesos with sparkles Mazatlan NFL embroidered cap 250 pesos Massage 30 minutes- 300 pesos Massage 60 minutes - 500 pesos We didn't buy any jewelry or clothing. "I stayed at El Cid for five days, and have nothing but great things about the hotel, amenities, and mostly, the staff. Upon arrival, everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. Alejandra at check-in really set the tone for what I knew was going to be a great stay. The staff at every angle were beyond generous, attentive, and friendly. My favorites were Alvaro and Rodrigo and a bartender whose name I didn’t catch in the dining area. The rooms were clean and spacious, and housekeeping did a great job at cleaning every morning at the time of my choosing. I loved the easy beach access and the secenic view of the beach from my patio. The only thing that I could say could be improved was the shower in one of the bathrooms. It didn’t warm up to temperature consistently, and the drain seemed to be a little plugged. Other than that, our trip was perfection. Thank you to everyone at El Cid for help making our trip so memorable - I can’t wait to go back! "

"Very good location. Rooms are small, but for a night or 2 work out very nicely. Staff was excellent, however English was a little lacks but was only a minor issye allin all very good place. "
