"We stayed at Gaviana for one night as a bridge to the nearby resort we booked for a week starting the next day. Arrived around 1 PM on Friday and were checked in immediately even though it was early. Nice, clean, basic room with a King bed and an ocean view. Right in the heart of the Golden Zone, so lots of dining options nearby and only a short walk to the north end of the Malecon. "The view from our 14th floor balcony was outstanding. Our stay was 3 weeks and 3 times we needed to call down for a new access number for wifi. Much more convenient to have it for the entire 3 weeks. The location of the hotel is great. Easy access to shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. The pulmanias are the best invention.
