"What a wonderful experience my 3 day stay was. All staff were friendly and welcoming and my room was beautiful. Every comfort had been provided for. It's spotlessly clean throughout and warm. The restaurant had an evening menu which was outstanding. The chefs cooked wonderful food that was brautifully presented brought to the table by friendly waitresses/waiters who knew what the ingredients were. There are some walks nearby too. You won't be disappointed."

"We are a group of five friends who planned this trip almost two years ago. We had to pick off season due to our schedules. The weather/wind in Iceland was the worst it has been in 10 years, and we briefly lost power. Our host brought us a generator, coffee, pastries, and kept us updated every step. They checked in on us often and responded immediately to any questions or concerns. They have a very detailed book on property with instructions for everything. The house is amazing and stayed warm even when we didn't have power. It's beautiful, perfectly cozy, and well equipped for all that you could need. The town of Borganes was nearby and we loved being away from the big crowds. I loved Iceland so much, everyone was friendly and the environment is second to none. I can't wait to come back, and I would absolutely choose this host again!"

"Where to begin... the house was absolutely immaculate. It was nice to have a thorough information packet e-mailed to us ahead of time to prepare for our arrival. From the shoe rack by the door (to keep the floors clean throughout our stay, we took off our shoes... I think it is also customary in Iceland to take off your shoes indoors), the heated towel rack in the bathroom, the neatly made beds, the hot tub heated and all ready to go, and an efficient but cozy layout, the home was perfect for our stay. The hosts have been very thoughtful about every detail to the house. We loved seeing the Northern Lights from right outside the home - a dream come true. "

"We stayed at Hotel Stafholt just for one night and really enjoyed it. The location is close to the Ring Road but in a quiet a bit remote area which we liked. The hotel itself is very new and sparkly clean. The bed and linen are beautiful, the bathroom is high quality and I loved a smell of handwash :) Friendly staff, especially Irena. We would definitely stay there again"

"We stayed in the bungalow which was very new and clean. It looks exactly as presented in the pictures. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was decent. The bungalows have their own outdoor hot tub and sauna area which was nice. There are about 12 bungalows total (I think), so it could get crowded in that hot tub and sauna when the hotel is busy given they weren’t very big. It seems like a good place to see northern lights, we just didn’t get lucky during our stay. Only downside from our stay was no smart tv (unless we just weren’t able to figure it out), but you can easily plug in an Amazon fire stick. Also, due to some issue, the hot tub was more like a warm tub. We recognize things happen so we won’t let it affect the review, but still disappointing. Overall would recommend"

"We stayed here for 1 night. We reached a bit after dark and it was our first night in Iceland. The guy at the reception did not understand much English. It was very dark as there is no light pollution. It would have been helpful if he had come with us to show the room, as we had to cross a little bridge after parking our car and we were fumbling in the dark. It is not far from the parking, or the main building, but he just gave us the keys and pointed outside, rather than just take the 5 min walk and show us the room. The breakfast was adequate and the view was good from the breakfast cafe. We did not see the northern lights that night, but the place can be great to see the northern lights. The cafe has microwave, and it is possible that they let you warm your own food there. The room had the coffee maker only. "
