"Nice old hotel. Friendly staff. Bed was excellent although as in many NYC hotels, the room was pretty small. The cleaning staff did an outstanding job. It's not as glitzy as a corporate hotel, but I'd rather stay in the Upper Westside than in Midtown, and it's somewhat cheaper."

"No complaints whatsoever. This hotel is more for adults to chill and party based on vibe, but i stayed with my 2 kids (5&3) and they loved it. I booked a Hudson Suite at the last minute due to an error at a crappy hotel that I was supposed to stay in. My only complaint is that the view of the Hudson Suite had no view of the Hudson from the floor that I was on. Its a minor complaint because it was a last minute booking, that same night, but if i had booked in advance, i would have asked for a suite ok a higher floor to appreciate the purposed of booking the Hudson Suite. "

"This hotel is in a wonderful location - near subways, museums, Central Park, Zabars, etc. There are numerous restaurants in the area in addition to Nice Matin which is attached to the hotel. I love the neighborhood which is very walkable."
