We had no heat or hot water and I still have not received a refund, as promised, when we checked in. The place has great potential but I am disappointed they did not take responsibility for the situation and have not responded to my request for the refund.

This hotel is near of Time Square and the price it's really cheap for the ubication. Definitely I will stay again.

Absolutely phenomenal experience and value. I think the property was going through a change of ownership because the old awning was still up and some renovations were being done. Aside from that, you'd never know. Staff was amazing. Super friendly and willing to help. Place was clean and large. The architectural details in the building were fun and the courtyard area is beautiful

This was a great hotel to visit nyc on a budget. We walked everywhere during our short week-end trip. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Exactly what you’d expect from an affordable hotel in the city.

Over priced. Under Expectations. This hotel was nothing special. We booked a superior room, 1 queen bed and all you get is a queen bed, a mini fridge, a bathroom and a really loud heater.  There are no hooks or hangers to hang up your jacket, no phone in the room to call the front desk, no kettle/coffee machine, ice machine or water available. Upon check-in the staff were super friendly. They offer early check-in at an extra charge. But to avoid that the staff offered to hold our bags for us. We were walking distance from major attractions (Time Square, Bryant Park, Port Authority Terminal, Hudson Yards) We are so grateful for this service because we had time to explore the city before check-in. Checking in was a little slow and they had to page the maid to clean a room for us. There was no available rooms at 5pm, and check in was supposed to be at 4pm. At the time there was a broken window on our floor (in the common area) which lead to the room being extremely cold. The insulation in the room was terrible, the heat did not sustain and the heater was super loud.   Also… the walls are paper thin. Our neighbour must have just seen a board way show, because they were BELTING a lyrical duet. And the day we were supposed to check-out, we had limited hot water. If you’re desperate for a hotel, it is a clean room. But extremely over priced for what you’re getting.

We couldn't check in until 4 pm unless we paid an additional $75. They did store our luggage till 4 in a secure room. Once in our room, there wasn't any closet, and no place to hang a coat or anything. We had 2 double beds that only had one pillow each AND the pillows had no pillowcases. Once I discovered the lack of pillowcases I looked around the room for the room phone in order to call the front desk to ask for pillowcases and discovered there was no room phone. I had to look for the number to call the hotel from my cell phone. No pillowcases were delivered. My husband went downstairs to ask again for pillowcases and we still did not get pillowcases.

STAY AWAY!!! Checked in on a Sunday at 3pm to a room with no heat. We did move rooms but then went to take a shower and there was no hot water. Were told people were coming to fix it very soon. That evening still no hot water. Monday morning still no hot water and then told people were on the way ... the new front desk person not realizing I had already been told that the day before .. which clearly meant no one was on the way Sunday. Back Monday late afternoon to shower since it had been since Saturday evening of our last shower to still no hot water! Now the excuse was they needed to order a part ... even though other people had been told a line busted. Clearly at this point they were not keeping their lies straight. Monday evening still no hot water and more excuses. Tuesday morning no hot water STILL but was told management was looking at all the cases to give us compensation. Tuesday evening you guessed it NO HOT WATER!! I live in a tiny NC town and could get parts faster than these people that live in one of the biggest cities in the world soooo digest that. Checked out Wednesday (YUP STILL NO HOT WATER) after not showering since Saturday evening and trying to take bird baths in ice cold water since it was December to not be completely offensive to the outside world. Stopped by the front desk to get my receipt and inquire about the compensation and conveniently the printer wasn't working and they didn't know about the compensation. Shocking I know.

For the price... Ya can't really complain. The heat issue was fixed by the time I stayed. The room was bare but sufficient, mildly stuffy, but the bed was clean, pillows were fine, just you know.. Absolutely no bells or whistles but it got the job done for a quick overnight stay. Would I repeat... Sure if you're the type who can just lay n sleep and not expect much of anything other than shelter and hot water... I'd say do it

We did not have any heat or hot water while staying at this hotel. Unfortunately, we were not told until the last day there was actually a place they had made available for guests to take showers at but they did not inform all of the guests about these accommodations, which were at a gym and were were left to either take a cold shower or make other arrangements on our own. As well, when we asked for an additional heater or blanket at the front desk we were met with rudeness by one of the staff members and told, “this is why I offered one to you before”. However, she did not understand our request fully in that we were asking for an additional heater because the small heater that had provided had only warmed our room overnight to 58 degrees and we were very cold. I tried to explain that an additional heater and blanket would be appreciated as we were unable to sleep well secondary to the cold temperatures. This staff stated she would not be able to promise anything. The security staff did intervene and stated he would do his best to try and accommodate our request, while the front desk staff stated there were no additional heaters and there were no additional blankets available.

Hudson Yards Hotel did not notify me prior to check-in regarding an issue with the boiler. There was no hot water (spare for a brief few hours on the third night of my four night stay) in 30-40° weather. Hotel staff was generally friendly but I did not receive a discounted rate or alternate accommodations despite having no hot water. In addition to no hot water, the TV remote in the room did not work, which isn’t a big deal on its own, but an issue nonetheless. The hotel is clearly unfinished/undergoing some kind of renovation. There was no signage on the outside of the building; just an 8.5x11 stuck to the front door. If you needed a room for one night, I guess the hotel would suffice, but I would not recommend it to anyone.
