I would have given 5 stars. It was historic, glamorous and super clean. The staff were friendly and fantastic. Water pressure in shower was best I've ever had in a hotel. However--weird problem. I could not figure out how to turn the lights off next to the beds. I tried every switch in the room. Examined the lights. Could not figure it out. I called downstairs and they said they'd send someone, but never did. It's not a huge problem, but if you like to sleep in the dark, it is. So I ended up unscrewing the lightbulbs for the one night I was there, then screwed them back in in the morning. That was a travel first. Anyway, otherwise fantastic property, would probably return.

We loved our stay at the Belleclaire! The staff was outstanding, rooms clean, and the area was perfect for our trip. We stayed in a King Parlor Suite which was perfect for our family. My only feedback was that the photos of the suite on Expedia make it look like the room will have a wall & pocket door between the sofa bed area and the main King bed sleeping area. This wasn't the case for our room, so if you are looking for more privacy do not judge by the photos. We will stay here again in a different room next time. I really can't speak highly enough of the staff!

This is a great spot on the upper west side. Feels new and clean with a European feel. Service is always great. We’ve stayed as a family and the family suites are really spacious. The location is perfect.

We booked a Premium room 1 King bed, breakfast included. The picture included a sofa,desk and table. (Expedia) We slept in a deluxe king with street view, and desk. Breakfast was a $10 voucher. As we complained, they said, it was not their fault, Expedia places better pictures to get more customers. What happened? How can we trust, and book another time?
