"This spot is a cute spot. Don't expect it to be a massive resort. It is a boutique hotel. I got the VIP upgrade which came with a $20 dining voucher but had to spend $50 for it to apply. The room was clean (but there was a dead insect after turnover one day). Room was decently big - had a kitchen area, fridge and microwave. "Beautiful setting and spectacular view from our room. The pool is beautiful! The beach is nice, but access to the water is a bit challenging. The service in the restaurant is a bit slow, but not a huge deal, considering the view. All of the food was excellent, as were the cocktails"

"Beware that this is 4.5 hours away from the San Jose Airport! They do NOT inform anyone of this and you need to get to the Ferry to cross over to Tambor which is not 24/7 You need to plan very carefully so you don't lose a day like I did and so many others did that I met at the Hotel. "This was most interesting stay on my Costa Rica vacation, a somewhat quirky but comfortable beach hotel. My room was clean, spacious, the AC was working well, and the poolside room helped make it pretty quiet (a beach bar was across the street playing music).
