"Beautiful quiet location with an amazing ocean view. "

"We recently spent a week at The Rock House while visiting Costa Rica and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was beautiful and the photos on VRBO accurately reflect it. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. AC units are available in both bedrooms. The kitchen was well-equipped. We really enjoyed the salt-water pool and the outdoor hook and ring game and made good use of both! Wilfredo, the caretaker, lives in a small home on the property and took great care of the pool and grounds and helped us out when we were dealing with some ants in the house.A few things to be aware of in the area: - The road up to the house is STEEP and a 4x4 is highly recommended. It's also great exercise to walk up and down which we did every day!- The town and beach right at the bottom of the hill was not our favourite. It was relatively dusty, probably since that section of road is unpaved, and occasionally smelled of garbage. However, if you travel either north or south at all things were quite nice. There are many nice restaurants to choose from close by. Our favourite beach was Playa Hermosa (about a 15 min drive north).We loved our time in Costa Rica and would happily suggest The Rock House to anyone travelling to the area! "Beautiful hotel and grounds. Nya is located a short walk from Montezuma. The grounds are stunning with pathways through lush forest. There’s little nooks with hammocks, a yoga platform, and gorgeous pool. Sitting at the pool and watching monkeys, squirrels and tropical birds was amazing. We ate breakfast and one dinner in the restaurant. Breakfast was a great start to the day with the daily juice, varied menu and coffee. The bar had a great happy hour, with a fun bar tender who made delicious cocktails. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in Montezuma "

"Beautiful jungle retreat on the hill above Montezuma. Limited number of rooms, bright and airy. Clean, with mini fridge and a complete kitchen below an open air dining with a great ocean view patio where a nice breakfast was served daily. Laundry is available for a fee. Access is up a steep, potholed road just out of town. Turnoff to lodge is a narrow dirt with ample parking. A trail head leading to upper falls with swimming is right out the door. Staff is outstanding and the owner was from the State where I live. Some erosion control work was being done during our visit and only a minor distraction. Highly recommended if your in the Montezuma area."

"We could not be any happier, this was the best location, close to the beach, great pool area to relax in a shady spot for peace and quiet. The rooms and room service are 5***** clean and fresh, smells amazing. The staff is incredibly helpful and so friendly. We felt like we were family. Look out for the two resident iguanas. "
