"For the price, Colorbox is a good option to stay close to Tulum (the hotel is located15 km north of the city), the Maya ruins of Coba, and various beaches. It's clean and no frills (no closet or dresser, or even a single hook). You get a clean and comfortable bed and a good shower with hot water. "NOT AS ADVERTISED. I arrived and was told I couldn't check in despite calling ahead that I would be a bit late. When I was finally given a bed the room was dirty, the bathroom moldy, and the sheets had a very strong smell that made me itchy. "Full week with our three grown kids, their spouses, and four granddaughters... The property was amazing, interior, exterior, pool and beach! The staff was outstanding from breakfast through dinner including mid-day Margaritas for the adults and smoothies for the kids. The owner, Barbara, was incredibly helpful with advice for transport for 11 of us from and back to the airport and excursions. Within a couple of days of arrival we were all trying to figure out how and when we could repeat."

"I booked this place for my bachelorette trip for our group of 14 and it was absolutely amazing!!! The listing doesn’t mention this but there’s someone guarding the community (at least during the day) which was a nice surprise! We had asked Mari if there were any disposable cups and she said no but went out and got them for us, she also did a few pieces of laundry for us for a small fee. It was great to have her and Jose near the property. She doesn’t speak English but we had a Spanish speaker...
