"We chose this mountain cabin for its location "near" Lake Tahoe, but not in Lake Tahoe. We have previously stayed at many cabins in the Tahoe area over the years. These cabins ranged from modern to ancient. This cabin was a great representation of 1960s mountain cabin with modern kitchen appliances. Very comfortable for the eight of us. I especially liked the freestanding (wood simulating) gas fireplace. "
