It was our first time staying in the more tourist area of South Lake Tahoe and was very happy with the location of the property. It was easy to walk to restaurants, shops and the lake. Would absolutely recommend.

I like how the room has balconies on them. Breaking sandwiches and the coffee were excellent. The only thing I didn’t like is how the shower door hits the toilet. It would also be nice to have a corner shelf in the shower. Overall I had a great trip I’ll be back again.

If you are looking for a relaxing place this is it. Easy access to the Casino's, Heavenly Ski Resort, Shopping and dinning. The beds were extremely comfortable.

It was a good stay. The standard room is a little bit on the smaller side (especially the bathroom) but it was enough. Parking can get a little tight as other guests noted, but I was able to find parking. The room was quiet. Staff was overall friendly. Wi-Fi was acceptable. Suggestion: it would be nice if the common area had a microwave to use:-)

Ideal location for the Stateline, Heavenly area. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Quick walk to the Heavenly gondola. Nicely remodeled older motel. Could use a little more maintenance. Some things are showing their age a bit. Loved the hot tubs and the fire pit areas.

I love this place. As an older woman traveling alone, I feel safe and secure here. Between the coffee shop and the brewery/restaurant, and live music and hot tubs, you never have to leave, but if you want to, it's located very close to the casinos, gondola and lake. It is an old property that they have poured loving care into, but there are things about the footprint of the hotel that can't be changed - the bathrooms are tiny, and the plumbing and heating/air conditioning are not perfect. But I don't shop for hotels in this area anymore. I'll be back!

Base Camp is a really fun place to stay in South Lake Tahoe. Not only affordable rates, but quite unique with its outdoor courtyard (two fire pits, and large hot tub) a cozy lobby (with rooftop hot tub) and Base Camp Beer Garden! Shopping, restaurants and bars all within walking distance.
