"This place is unique where it’s like a mini hotel in the basement of someone’s home. They are very polite and personal. Room was small but all we did was sleep here so it served its purpose for us. We had a bathroom that was detached from the room, which was the only thing I didn’t care for. Also, we got back to the room at 1am and I felt we had to be super quiet compared to a normal hotel."

"Gorgeous little house with a backyard right on the Fox River. Well furnished and quiet, the "retreat" title is accurate, as it feels pleasantly insulated from the world, but is still close enough to South Elgin and downtown St Charles to be convenient!"

"handful of girlfriends met to scrapbook and socialize for the weekend. Plenty of room in this home for tables. Loved the sun room to relax. Wifi service is poor but thats the location and nothing against the home.Plenty of parking space and enjoyed the chickens"

"We were very pleased with layout, cleanliness and location of this VRBO. The home was furnished nicely and had everything we needed except for a corkscrew but we had one in our car :) and a cheese shredder (or I couldn't find it). 5 Stars from us!!"
