"Very comfortable accommodations. The Willard room was very cool(temperature) had to turn up thermostat and took a few hours to warm it up. Very nice room and a great experience. The history of the home is awesome. Breakfasts were great and refreshing."

"IlWe went in the office season and literally had the entire house to ourselves. We had our own designated room but all the other guest rooms were open and it felt like being in a home and not a hotel. The bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets and nice pillows. Every room has a gas fireplace to provide heat. The whirlpool tub was outstanding. Breakfast was included and some of the best food I have had. So much good, we never went away hungry. "Unique experience staying within a block of DePaul School of Music. Lovely property with open kitchen and great breakfast/coffee. Nice outdoor area with fire pit. Stayed in Capone suite which was comfortable but noisy as it was downstairs just below the kitchen. Note that private bath is down the hall as this wasn’t explained well when I booked. Would stay again and I do recommend."

As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. "Innkeeper Kerrie was kind and overall helpful. The building is beautiful. She has generally concerned about our ability to get to the third floor and helped us relocate to the coach house. One TV didn’t work in the space and the lighting in the coach house was pretty dim. The breakfast was good and she was willing to accommodate our special dietary needs. I do feel like some aspects of the house and yard could have been cleaner. Parking can be a challenge. "
